Free Form™ Epoxy Putty is extremely lightweight epoxy putty suitable for an infinite variety of industrial and art-related applications. This low-odor, low-shrink putty is unique, inexpensive and easy to use. For industrial applications, Free Form™ can be used as a filleting material for epoxy tooling or in between layers of EpoxAmite™ laminating epoxy and fiberglass cloth for making lightweight composite parts. It can also be used as an ultra-lightweight adhesive used to bond like and unlike surfaces. For art-related and special effects applications, Free Form™ can be used to make ultra-light rigid support shells or mother molds. It can also be used to make lightweight, rigid props.
Features that make Free Form™ different from other epoxy putties include:
- Mixed Free Form Putty has an ultra-low density of 0.45. That means that cured material is extremely lightweight, yet cured Free Form™ is very strong
- 1A:1B by volume mix ratio – Many “tooling” putties that are available have a “by weight” mix ratio, which makes them inconvenient for some applications
- Uniform Consistency – Free Form™ mixes easily compared to other epoxy putties. It does not crumble in your hand
- Low Odor – unlike other epoxy putties, there is almost no odor with this product
- Easy Clean Up – Soap and water will remove this product from most surfaces
- Post Finishing – Cured putty can be drilled, sanded, etc. It readily accepts acrylic paints
