It Does Not Get Any Easier...Again!
Introducing Mold Star™ 16 and Mold Star™ 30 Silicone Rubbers
After experienceing Mold Star™ 15 silicone when it was introduced 2 years ago, some of our experienced mold making fabricators called it a "game changer".
It doesn't get any easier to use; mixed 1A:1B by volume (no weighing scale necessary), Mold Star™ pours easily and de-airs itself (no vacuum degassing necessary). Most Importantly, cured mold rubber has good tear strength and a long library life.
Molds in Minutes with Mold Star™ 16 - We are pleased to announce Mold Star™ 16 as a faster version of Mold Star™ 15. It has a 6-minute working time and is ready to be demolded in 30 minutes. Like Mold Star™ 15, this Shore 16A rubber again has good tear strength and is perfet for rapid prototyping applications or any time critical mold making/casting project.
New Mold Star™ 30 is a harder version of Mold Star™ 15. It has a 45 minute pot life and cures to a Shore 30A rubber in about 6 hours at room temperature. This stiffer rubber is good for making a variety of mold configurations.
Mold Star™ 15 Slow, 16 Fast and 30 will last for many years in your mold library.
They are good for casting Smooth-Cast™ or TASK™ urethane resins, EpoxAcast™ epoxy resins, plasters and other materials.
Important: Because these are platinum catalyzed silicones, which are especially prone to cure inhibition, you need to be careful when using them on models containing sulfur. A small-scale test is recommneded if surface compatibility is in doubt.
