Becoming popular in a very short time, Smooth-Cast® ONYX™ is a fast setting Ultra-Black urethane casting resin that is strong and offers good heat resistance. With a 2.5 minute working time, some users comment that ONYX™ is too fast, especially in warm summer months when warm weather makes the material even faster.

ONYX™ SLOW has a 5 minute pot life and a 90 minute demold. New ONYX™ SLOW has excellent physical properties, with a very high flexural and compressive strength.
Both ONYX™ products cure to a deep black, have good heat resistance, and can be polished.
