In this video we watch Figuration Studios turn sculpted EPS foam into a visually stunning clear resin outdoor art installation.
Using Brush-On® 40 and Plasti-Paste® II, a two piece outer mold is made of the original form. Foam-iT!® 3 is cast into this mold, which is then sanded down and covered with Brush-On® 40 to make an inner core mold.
Lastly, tinted Crystal Clear® 200 is used to cast the hollow finished piece, which will stand up to the elements: UV-exposure, rain, and repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
